Takafar Sepahan came into existence to excavate, extract, and exploit mines and is now one of the major suppliers of Coal for Iran’s industry. Currently, Takafar Sepahan owns a mine complex in Kerman Province, namely Cheshmeh Poundeh Coal Mine.
Cheshme Poundeh is located in Km 52.5 north of Zaranad. This mine is also located in the Northeast of Kerman which hosts Gol Toot Main Pabdana, South Pabdana, Kamsar Hashooni, Hamkar, and Cheshmeh Poudneh mines. The discoveries made in this mine was made in the year 1975 by the former Soviet Union and Iranian experts under a detailed plan in Pabdana zone. The coal of Cheshmeh Poudneh can turn into coke and its reflection varies between 83 – 89. This coke contains 86% Carbon and its convection between 6400 and 8200 Kcal/gram.
